All-Star Reserves: Shaq is in, Durant is not E-mail

All-Star East Adidas

According to Yahoo! Sports the NBA All-Star reserves names are out there and that list includes the big Shaq Diesel. I couldn't be happier! What is All-Star weekend without some Shaq-Daddy action?

The remaining West reserves will include:

"Los Angeles LakersPau Gasol, New Orleans HornetsDavid West, Dallas MavericksDirk Nowitzki, San Antonio SpursTony Parker, Denver NuggetsChauncey Billups and Portland Trail BlazersBrandon Roy."

That means no Kevin Durant -- answering the debate which has swarmed the internet of late, as to whether being a winner is an important factor in All-Star selection.

The East reserves include two Orlando Magic, Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis. East coaches also chose the Boston CelticsPaul Pierce, Atlanta HawksJoe Johnson, Toronto RaptorsChris Bosh, New Jersey NetsDevin Harris and Indiana PacersDanny Granger.

Jameer Nelson... I'm still not sold. In fact I would have loved to have seen my boy José Calderon of the Raptors there, but perhaps those missed games hampered his chances. But once again that winning record has to come into it -- the Magic have been, well, magical.
