Whilst not as flamboyant as Jordan's debut, importantly this was the beginning of the Karl Malone - John Stockton connection. Check out the class from Stockton, already in his second season. As would be the case in his unassuming career, Stock was mislabelled at one point as "Dick Stockton".

Unfortunately box scores are not available as far back as 1985 from basketball-reference.com.
