Don't call Michael Jordan a "Con Man" E-mail

But you knew that, right?

January 21, 1997: the Chicago Bulls hosted the New York Knicks. A few days before the game, Jeff Van Gundy claimed in a radio interview that Michael Jordan was a "Con Man" who befriended players off the court, to then strike like a viper on the court (Mamba, anyone?). MJ didn't appreciate these words, or as we've seen, took them as motivation in being disrespected (see: HoF acceptance speech).

His Airness decided to then drop 51 points on the Knicks as retribution.

Van Gundy recently admitted during a telecast that he regrets making those statements, not surprisingly.

Watch how Jordan destroyed the Knicks in every way imaginable.
