This is an absolute thing of beauty and purity. The graininess of the picture through to the short shorts -- all of it just takes your mind off to a far-away era. In summary:

  • Michael Jordan, freshman.
  • 15 points off the bench.
  • His first ever game on television, 1981 -- North Carolina Tar Heels.
  • Teammates: a lanky Sam Perkins and James Worthy.
  • Short shorts.
  • A fantastic double-pump shot which proves that even back then, MJ was MJ.
