Zac Delaney gets his first ever NBL point E-mail

The Wollongong Hawks continue to put out high quality content via the internets. The organisation themselves deserve a great deal of gratitude for this -- that includes the Hawks players, as well as the likes of Mili Simic, Joel Armstrong and Asa Schuster (the guys doing the behind the scenes work). It would be great to see all of the teams in the league get to a stage where that was the case (perhaps that is part of what Larry Sengstock is subtely driving here on the Gold Coast).

Anyway, back to the point. Check out this footage with Zac Delaney and Daniel Jackson of the Hawks. Delaney is claimed to be the shortest player in NBL history, at 169cm (or about 5'6 1/2"). This week he scored his first NBL point, from the free throw line.

Other than giving the Hawks crew a wrap which they thoroughly deserve, is this "event" really news/blog-worthy? He didn't even make both of his free-throws ...

Haha - fair point Dodge. It's not entirely news-worthy, but I published it on two fronts:
1. The novelty factor of Delaney's height (which I hadn't mentioned at the site previously); and
2. The fact that the guys from the Hawks forwarded this onto me. If any NBL team sends me stuff I'll be happy to publish it, as I just think we need to get as much coverage as possible out there for the league... big or ...small.

Thanks for reading as always, Dodge.
