Springfield ArmorIt's not often that I use the term "visually arresting" twice in the one day when talking about basketball film, but that moniker is one which this commercial by the NBA D-League's Springfield Armor deserves. Only entering the NBA Development League this season, the Armor's original claim to fame is that it inhabits the home of basketball -- Springfield, MA. This spot to promote the team and by association, the greater league, makes use of high-quality production and thematic values that will appeal to anyone who has picked up a ball in their driveway or local blacktop. Since it's inception, the D-League as a whole has done a good job of promoting itself and basketball as a sport -- this is just another example. Well done, Armor.
